AFSA Presents "AFSA Goes Skating"

Do you like skating? I bet you do. Remember all those great memories you have of skating? As a kid, it was the opportunity for you to miss HALF a day of school and go to some obscure local recreation centre in Brampton. It was that time you grabbed that special someone's hand awkwardly and were forced to let go due to mittens not having proper finger holes (unless you were super cool and had those convertible ones). It was that time you.....okay you get the picture.

Come make memories with your fellow SAFers and AFSA at this once in a lifetime skating opportunity! Here are the details:

The AFSA distribution team will be handing out orders from 9:00AM - 1:00PM on Tuesday March 2nd 2010 to Friday March 5th 2010 on the second floor of HH Extension (SAF Building).

YOU MUST BRING WITH YOU THE FOLLOWING ITEMS IN ORDER TO CLAIM YOUR MERCHANDISE:

- WatCard and
- Either the original receipt of your purchase or a print out of the electronic receipt you received in your email.

NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE

Financial Management Career Workshop - March 8

AFSA presents a Financial Management Career Workshop on Monday, March 8, 2010 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm in HH1106.

This workshop will cater to FM students that are looking for careers outside of financial accounting. The workshop will feature senior students/alumni that have had co-op experiences in Investment Banking and Consulting, or have completed CFA Level I and are pursuing non-CA designations such as the CMA and CFA. This will allow students to understand the different career paths and designations that are involved with each.

MAcc Information Session for CMA bound students in 3rd and 4th year

Are you considering taking the Master of Accounting and pursuing the CMA designation?

On March 12th, take some time to hear from both Prof. Dave Vert (Director of Master of Accounting) and Jean MacKinnon (CMA Regional Director of Marketing and Communications). They will help give you a better idea of how the MAcc can benefit you if you are going the CMA route. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer period.

Reminder to 1st years about AFM 102 midterm prep

Welcome back to campus after Reading Week!

The Tutoring Centre is focusing on AFM 102 this week to be a resource to you as you prepare for the midterm.

The Tutoring Centre is in HH 2101 and will be open from 1:00 - 4:00, Monday thru Thursday. On Tuesday, February 23rd, the regular hours will be extended as we do an extra session for AFM 102 from 4:00 - 5:00 in HH 2104. Come and get your questions answered.
